The following weekend, Dave Miller ran the Richmond Marathon, finishing 21st overall. Dave was on a PR pace but had some stomach cramps the last 10K but still finished in a respectable 2:45. He was on 2:32 pace for most of the race.
That same weekend the team also competed in the Veterans Day 10K on November 13. This was a bit of a last minute pull off as many runners were still beat up from fall marathons, and the team did very well considering so. Chris Sloane led the team in 32:15 placing 8th overall for the men, while Wendi Robinson finished 5th overall for the women in 36:45. =PR= store owner Ray Pugsley(32:44) finished 13th, and Andrew Ciarfalia ran a HUGE 2 minute PR of 33:37. Nancy Eiring also ran for the team and finished in 41:52. Together, the team placed 3rd overall out of 18 teams.
That same morning, Curtis Cox also won a 5k in 15:07 near his hometown in Trinidad.
On Thanksgiving morning, Chris Sloane ran the Turkey Chase 10K in Bethesda, MD, and finished 3rd overall in 32:37.
And most recently, triathlete Peggy Yetman competed at the Ironman Cozumel, scoring BIG with a win in her age group(40-44) in a new PR time of 10:03 and a ticket punched to Kona 2012! Way to go Peggy!
